Student Ministry

One of the main ministries of the congregation at College Church is to be as supportive as possible in the lives and activities of the entire Hampden-Sydney community. We believe that God has given us a unique opportunity to be present for students as well as faculty and staff.
As a part of our outreach to students, we routinely provide meals for different student groups such as athletic teams, the Men’s Chorus, and various clubs and groups. We also provide meeting space and places for study in our facility. We consider it a part of our mission to help students grow in their faith as they see our faith at work in assisting them.
Bible Study
The College Church minister’s dual role as Pastor and Chaplain allows the Pastor to help students find a place for them to study and practice their faith. With numerous campus ministries available on campus, the Chaplain can help guide students to the one that fits their faith background and desires for learning and a deepening of their specific faith. If there is a need for another ministry, the Chaplain is ready to assist students in beginning their own study groups. The current list of Campus Ministries and contact information is:
- Baptist Collegiate Minister
- Catholic Campus Ministry
- Chaplain and Pastor of College Church
- CHI-ALPHA
- COGITO
- Episcopal-Lutheran Campus Ministry
- Jewish Students
- Orthodox Christian Fellowship
- Wesley Campus Minister
